power creep
Welcome to anther horrable spelled post by me. I've not spell checked it, as my last spellcheck killed itself yet again.
On to my thoughts about P.C.
I recall the huge, massive post that was about it, people tossing out sugestions, ideas, complains about ns13, the coffie break post that complains about how long it takes to play, the complains about the Tomb shelfs. Etc.
Everything thats done is to try to get people to stay with the game, even ns13 - Think about this - ns11 was easy. Cake walk. Scriptable to win with one button. There was no challenge, a game with no challenge is no longer a game. Ns13 broke the mold, for better or worse we are stuck with it. I think for the most part, its for the best.
Aftercore content (sea, clan dungons) as much as I still thing the sea content can go fishing, its something to DO after your done with other stuff. The clan dungons are a great distraction and offer more things to do. As such, any content that I can do but dont have to do , is just fine. Even that inposible to solve nemisis quest. Its all good.
The mystical book shelf. As a stop-gap messure to insure that the game can keep going, I still think the idea to remove the restrictions after-core would work for me and others I know... I am assuming that this would include casual runs since they dont have leaderboards. For me, that would be great.
Now... the issue of powercreep.
Basicly it boils down to how to produce new items that do not just copy old ones. I dont honestly think its possible, there are only so meny diferent things to do in the game, incress or decress to almost anything you can think to name is in one or more items, element damage is present in meny items, and tons of them have prismatic damage, I really think that the weekness chart to elements should be more a factor, but its kind of too late to do this - the game would require a huge overhall to make the elements matter, and prismatic dmg items would become wepons of pownage.
PVP - something neads to be done here. Duh.
What can be done? Nothing. Power creep will happen unless and untill new mechanics are interduced OR we face itom that copy old ones. Big woop. Or things that only effect the zone they are made for.

should i make a post about that or will i get eaten by mods? I'll get eaten, normaly i'd do it anyway but i dont want more points. whatever i'll just think out loud here. whats this topic about? right the iotm = its going to drop in price like the ccc most likely i see it as being EH at best, I dont know if they boosted the things effectivenss... the sea now has fish that are ... well good and one of the two mr a things can be underwater - so really , the only thing you could really get from it is the extra turns - now , its been said that the Hair can outdo the sombero if you know what your doing, but - the hair does things that this does not do, I think... ? I dont know what the hair does, whatever. So , this item MIGHT consvible be better at power leveling if you can get more stats per turn then a fat sombero could provide that is, if each turn > whatever fatsombero is so that the extra turns made by this famaler are > then that then you must get this as for you, it would be optimal.
however- i feel that the % of players that might apply to is low. There is always the CHAT EFFECT. But ... okay yeah is that worth the cost? I dont know - if I want something to talk to me in chat I'll talk to chatbot or use one of the effect things that makes MY chat weird, like sword beound epic proportions.
So in the end, this thing is - at best a pototo/ghoul that adds turns that can only benifit a few, can go underwater, where - augubly you would want some other , better familar anyway, (unless there is some uber dolphin boss that you must block with a pototo-like famialr, and who you fight offen enough that you would want the hp/mp restoring ablitys AS WELL) and all this + you are so optimal that the extra turns this gives you will power level + you love the chat effects.
any combation fits you and then this thing will be worth it, since those above statments fit very few, then no - it will drop in price. Investers grab one or two , making prices lower more, and so, at the end, this item will just not move well in the mall.
Should suddenly it becomes something that more % of the players want for (x) reasion then it will skyrocket, but you can never be sure, again - if your an invester you will get one just to save for IN CASE like I'm stockpiling the breafcases BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT ITEM WILL SUDDENLY GO INSAIN IN PRICE.
However, this crimbo I'm sure that Fresh Mints of MellAirship will come and shower us all with Spaced-Balls from the Hole in the sky and the moon will just crash, blowing up Hanks so that we must sink meat to rebuild it once again. AND/or possiblity the meator sight will just explode into a zone you can do something in, I dont know I'm rambling about stuff again, I blame the soda that I've been drinknig that I'm pretty sure has gone bad oh my word this post is long I could probley insert anything just about now because people have stoped reading it yoda, yo yo yo da. well, at least the iotm cant be any worse untill december because we all know how suck that is going to be, also crimbo will suck too, and also this item sucks, they should just go ahead and make december item be "The Vacume Cleaner" and it would just read "This item and effect sucks" and it would eat your cans of air and be meatpast-able into your clockwork-maid who would then gain a VACUME CLEANER. Then you could clime the beanstock to the sky and incounter a semi-rair giant who would be called Rita Repulsadad and toss a wand at you and yell "MAKE THAT MOSNTER GROW!" and then you would have a giant-machine maid with a vacume cleaner who then would start sucking the air from the kingdom, only the power of anther semi-rair monster in the hole in the sky who you have to puddy or 4d camera and then summon to fight it would help, this Lone-Star monster thing would help, but his ablitys would be "shorts" and unforantly his shorts are as big as yours - so you better have good shorts on. Anyway, you eat yogert and gain an adventure, but lose it by BARFing it up. Finaly the head of the maid explodes, and lands on the beach and you yell "YOU BASTARDS YOU DESTORYED IT ALL!"
You deside that, perhaps the next IOTM will be better since they are going to call it "In serch of more cash grab"
